Meet Felie | Debugging Life & Code
TL;DR:
I’m Felie Magbanua, from Los Angeles. CS student. Career shifter with 20+ years in the Construction & Facilities industry. Debugging enthusiast. Storyteller. Lifelong learner. Recovering perfectionist. Pop culture sponge. Losing 150 lbs while coding, cooking, gaming, binge-watching, hiking, and spinning vinyl. Welcome to the chaos!
Hi, I’m Felie! Welcome to felie.io.
This is my little corner of the internet where I document the highs and lows of my journey as a Computer Science student, while juggling a career transition, personal growth, and the wild rollercoaster of life. Here, you’ll find me navigating through lines of code, tackling math one concept at a time, building projects, and pausing every now and then to share personal reflections, random thoughts, and even my ongoing health journey.
Why this blog?
I’ve lost count of how many blogs I’ve started, abandoned, resurrected, and quietly buried. My partner could probably open a mini digital graveyard with all the RSS feeds from my past sites. I don’t know if I should laugh at the chaos or cry for the lost words and drafts that never saw daylight. But here’s the thing: I love writing. I love the rush of translating thoughts into something tangible — but consistency? That’s been my kryptonite.
What you’ll find here
So this blog? This is different. This is my experiment in discipline, in showing up even when perfectionism creeps in. I’m holding myself accountable, right here in public view, as I make my way through life’s mess — from debugging broken code (and finding that elusive semicolon) to chasing big personal milestones like losing 150 pounds and earning my degree before 40.
I’m not here just to share polished results. I’m here to share the process. The frustrations, the awkward learning curves, the “why won’t this code compile” nights, and the occasional joy of figuring it all out.
A note to you
So, whether you stumbled here looking for coding rants, personal musings, productivity experiments, or just a fellow millennial piecing it all together — welcome. I hope you find something that resonates.
